HRFC Update 280324

Hello Members,

A couple of reminders:

  • Just letting you know that we have a few starters for the short Fly-out to the Hunter Valley Gliding Club’s “Vintage Rally 2024” on Easter Saturday at Warkworth. A few more would be good though, so if you intend to participate and have not let us know yet or you are still undecided, the plan is to aim for a 9am briefing at the HRFC clubhouse and a departure at around 9.30. A  sausage sizzle will be available for lunch and I have again attached the flyer with further information.
  • On a number of occasions, it has been suggested that from time to time we have a speaker visit the club to give us a talk on matters of interest to our members. So to get the ball rolling, I have spoken to Pauline Doran (NSW Sales Manager for LANOTEC products) with a view to giving us a rundown on their range of products. Lanotec produces a range of special purpose lanolin based lubricants, anti-seize, release agents, corrosion protection, degreasers and cleaning products. At this stage I have suggested a brief talk from Pauline at our May meeting.  https://www.lanotec.com.au/  Products are available locally through Burson Auto Parts at Cessnock.
Also, I have received advice from one of our hangars owners that someone in their enthusiasm to mow the grass recently, forgot to close the hangar doors and covered the aircraft in the hangar with dust. So if you feel the urge to mow the grass, don’t let me stop you! However, please be careful to avoid creating a dust problem within the hangars.
That is it for now.
Regards
