Hello Members, I am hoping that you all have had a great Christmas, New Year and Australia Day and you are ready to get back to the real business!
Here are a couple of updates and reminders to keep you up to date.
- Next Club Meeting date:
- Remember that the February meeting has been brought forward to the first Sunday of the month to avoid a clash with the Hunter Valley Airshow. So, this coming Sunday is the day (Feb 2nd) – I hope to see you there.
- Hunter Valley Airshow:
- Discounted Tickets: Members can now order discounted tickets through the Club. I will place a single bulk ticket order on Paul Bennet Airshows on Monday Feb 3rd (The day after our club meeting). So if you want to take advantage of our Club’s discounted pricing, you will need to place your order and make your payment (via the Club) no later than Sunday (February 2nd). For your convenience, I have added the various ticket options to the club’s self-serve app so that members can order and pay online using credit card. Otherwise, simply let me know what tickets you require, EFT the funds to the club’s Westpac Bank Account, or purchase them at the meeting on Sunday where both cash and card purchases can be made. Once orders and payments have been confirmed, Tickets will be emailed directly to you prior to the show. For EFT payments, the Club’s bank details are BSB 032-516, Acc number 12-1379, Acc name Hunter Recreational Flying Club. This link (Online Airshow Tickets) will give you access to the club’s “self-serve” app for pricing and for online card purchases. Don’t forget that these prices are only available through the Club, and only until Sunday.
- Also, please keep in mind that bonus tickets in the next HRFC major prize draw will continue to be issued to members that continue to support our “Project Sponsors” (including Paul Bennet Airshows) until at least the end of June when the 2024 project will be reassessed. Tickets will be issued at a rate of 1 ticket for every $10 spent.
- Updates received from Airport Management:
- There were a couple of notes received from Airport Management in the past week or so. I understand that some members will have received them directly, but for those that may not be on their mailing list, I will forward them separately.
