HRFC Update 170325

Hello Members,
Weather Cameras are down:
You may be aware by now that our cameras have been down for a few days and unfortunately, they may be down for a few more days. We are working on it and they will be up and running again as soon as practical. While they are out of service, we will take the opportunity to consider modifying the system to eliminate the need for the wireless link that we currently use as it has been the source of trouble in the past and being located high on the roof of two hangars, it is not an easy task to maintain it, particularly in the heat that we have had recently and in windy weather condition. Although the system has provided acceptable reliability for a number of years, we believe that there is definitely room for improvement and in particular, in regard to access for maintenance.
Brunch at Scone next Sunday:
At our meeting last week, some of our members decided to head for the “Bent Prop Cafe” at Scone Airport next Sunday morning (March 23rd) for brunch and a visit to the Aviation Museum. So, why not join them? If you would like to tag along, just let me know so that we can pass on numbers to the Cafe.
Other “One Danyers” proposed:
It was also proposed that we give consideration to a few short one-day fly-outs in coming months, and it was suggested that a BBQ lunch at Yarrawa may be a possibility sometime in April. This has not been confirmed yet, but I will keep you informed with further details if it is to happen. So, if you have any other suggested destinations for the coming months, please let me know.
